Believe it or not, they're awesome during a pandemic. Clinical laboratories use open flames when handling infectious material. When you eat at home or talk to visitors, here and there several open flames sterilize the air around you. I use them all the time, they look good, they are very clean, smoke free and even romantic. I light them up at dinner (you never know where everyone has been today) or when I'm talking to people in the room. They literally save lives.
