I got these after using two different Fitbit zip clips where the metal pin snapped through the rubber. Their advantage is that nothing breaks after a few months of use. The use of a holding magnet is very useful. I carry mine in my jeans pocket and it's holding up pretty well. It came off a few times but less than the original clip. And when it comes loose, it falls into my pocket, unlike the original, which could snag on things like a seat belt and disappear before I even knew it. The downside to carrying a magnet outside of your pants is that it tends to jump onto nearby metal objects. I'm learning to be extra careful with the tumble dryer door and the metal seats in the auditorium. Overall I'd recommend this as a replacement if you're having trouble with the original case breaking, although I wish the magnet was a little stronger. .
