Buyers, be sure to test the water when you put the ice cubes in it. I found a filmy residue coming off the ice cubes.
These ice cube molds leave a film when ice falls into a glass of clean water. Tried another ice cube from a traditional ice tray and got no packaging. I also noticed that there is no branding on this item, which tells me it's a cheap, outsourced copy. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I drank ice water all day yesterday without realizing it, and today my kidneys hurt. I've used bottled water every time and cleaned the silicone bowls before use. After noticing this on the silicone, there is an oily substance with an iridescent tint, so it's probably some kind of non-stick substance.
