i bought these to use in hanging lanterns that are high up and hard to reach. The remote seemed like a great solution and I was so happy with how it looked in the light! However, if you want to use them with a remote control, the batteries in the flashlights run out very quickly. As another reviewer suggested, this is because the light stays on and the remote is used to turn it on and off. If you use the remote to turn them off, they don't actually turn off and I think the battery just keeps draining. So if you plan on using them in a way that allows you to turn them on and off manually, you'll probably be fine. I don't want the return period to expire because I will definitely be sending them back!
