I would call these between a medium and a heavy weight, plain, but nice, set of traditional towels. They are 100% cotton with finished ends and cotton loops, making them very absorbent. They are soft, especially after the first wash.This is a true lighter blue color, a bit deeper than a baby blue, like a sky blue.They look nice rolled up.I am using these for post swimming/ spa, often leaving them outside to dry after use. They are working fine for that. They did need to be washed before using because they felt a bit stiff, new, and maybe starched. They did well in a cold water wash and warm machine dry, and did not shrink significantly, but they did really soften up.
