I bought a new Dell XPS8930 desktop computer. I don't trust normal backup procedures. I want to clone my system drive to make sure I have a safe backup. Dell ships with a Hynix SSD (I've never heard of that brand). I bought this Samsung SSD as a replacement: 1TB Samsung 970 EVO SSD (MZ-V7E1T0BW), Internal NVMe M.2 V-NAND SSD https://www. amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN217QGI installed it in this USB case/adapter. The instructions could have been a bit clearer (and bigger!) but I could understand them pretty well. Make sure you do the assembly on a clean workbench so you don't lose the tiny screws. And be sure to use sticky silicone heat transfer tapes. I was glad it came with a matching USB-C cable and even a screwdriver! I plugged it into a USB-C port on my computer and a row of bright blue LEDs lit up on the device. And the Samsung SSD showed up in Disk Management on a Dell computer! I used Macrium Reflect to clone a Dell system drive to this setup. It only took about 15 minutes. I turned everything off. I then carefully removed the existing Dell Hynix SSD and replaced it with a Samsung SSD that I had just cloned. Dell booted perfectly from a cloned Samsung SSD! I use Dell now. I think this is the best review of this device! Thank you for this valuable product!
