Before I invested in a diamond ripper, I used large concrete grinding wheels for the same purpose, cleaning up cracks in my driveway so I could fill them with caulk. I live in the Midwest and have a terrible time keeping cracks from ruining my driveway and replacing concrete every few years. With a regular grinding wheel, I spent most of the day trying to fix a crack and ended up burning my grinder. The new grinder and this on-site pup reduced the crack open time to a few minutes. My only caveat I'd add to this attachment is that it literally rips through concrete like butter, so be very careful with the grinder going over the crack unless you want to do more damage to your driveway or make unnecessary grooves in the surface.
