I would not recommend these jugs. They're cheap for a reason I think. Mine came with a factory defect that prevented the lid from closing after the filter was installed. I still manage to try it without worrying about the lid. The process is very slow. It took quite a while for the water to come out of the filter, but it tasted decent for a while. On the second try, after a few more tries, I notice black particles at the bottom of the cup. I was starting to worry it might be contaminated so I stopped.
