This fabric is really great. It absorbs well and dries fairly quickly. It washes wonderfully too. The only doubt I have is that they claim they are "eco-friendly", but to be eco-friendly they have to be made from 100% cotton. Synthetic fibers are not environmentally friendly, they always have been. Does it reduce paper towel waste, yes. When it comes time to get rid of it, it goes straight to landfill where, like other synthetic materials, it will lie for hundreds of years. While I love this fabric, I don't accept false claims that it's sustainable. That being said, if you're just looking for a great tea towel, I highly recommend it! If you're really looking for something down-to-earth, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
