The item was packaged nicely arrived quickly. As for the socks themselves, the fabric feels like a thick pantyhose, which I have no issue with. The calf part felt a little tight, but my legs have been so bloated recently that probably is why. I tend to accumulate lots of fluid in legs towards the end of a day, so a little compression to legs throughout the day helps alleviate this water accumulation. As a matter of fact, the longer I wear them, the leg got a bit slimmer and the tightness of the new socks went away. I bought these to use along with the medical compression socks for those with diabetes. That pair got a little worn out, so I thought I'd add more socks with supports to my collection.Having 8 pairs is a great deal. I'm wearing them all the time; a pair to work, than switch to another pair designated for at home use once I get back home which I wear while I sleep. The dull heavy feel of the legs have been relieved so much for the past several days. I could go for a little more compression on feet and ankle part, but that is not necessary. For use with the sports, I'd say it will provide decent support, but since I haven't used them for such use, I can't comment. Though I'm sure it helped me going 28 flights down the building during the annual fire drill.
