Review on HomArt Pinecone Stocking Holder - Rustic Cast Iron by Garon Tafolla

I found the image to be representative of the actual product I received. I bought two of these. Both were of the same quality and finish. This indicates that there is likely to be good consistency in manufacturing and finishing. The pinecones themselves are made up of multiple layers held together by a single screw that goes into the bottom of the base. I found that the screws on both pine cones I bought were loose, but were easy to tighten with a flat head screwdriver. The two pine cones I bought were neatly packaged in plain cardboard and padding - actually a refreshing change from the brightly colored blister packs that you often get with many products. The bottom of the base is just a hollowed out piece of cast iron. This is enough to use, but there is no padding or rubber to avoid scratching the robe when you wear it. I have a stone coat so that wasn't a problem for me. If that bothers you, it would be pretty easy to put some rubber on the bottom so it doesn't ruin the wood or paint on the robe you're putting on. They are heavy enough for what would be considered regular weight Christmas stockings (if such a thing exists!). At $27 each, I think it's a bit pricey for what you get. However, they look pretty good.
