I have a problem sometimes with socks that are supposed to go up the calves because as a size 1x or 2x, with what I refer to as my "cankles" I sometimes find socks too restrictive. Took a chance on these and maybe I don't have them pulled up as much as other people might, they fit me fine and didn't feel restrictive. That said, they aren't overly stretchy, so don't expect to be able to carry your handgun in there as well (kidding, but who knows these days, eh?). I used them for camping and wow did they keep my feet snuggly and warm. Super happy.
