Review on DIAMOND NATURALS High Protein Premium Formulas - Superfood Rich Dry Cat Food with Antioxidants by April Simpson

This is an inexpensive cat food with decent nutritional value and my cats love it. :)

Some time ago, when the smell of the cat litter became unbearable, it was clear that I had to change my cats' food. Up to this point they have been eating Purina Indoor Cat Food and I have spent an incredible amount of time finding something that works for them but doesn't ruin me every month. It was a lot harder than I expected and I make my living from research. On one page I was told a food was fantastic, on another that if I fed it to my cats they would probably die in a horrible mess. Lots of things told me that I would become a real monster if I started feeding kibble at all. Where should I start!? I finally settled on Diamond Naturals. This product may not go well with a raw diet (although my cats still reject raw and lightly cooked meat) or other dry foods that sell for a few dollars a pound, but it's high in meat and lower in fillers than many others. Other brands. I'm honestly very happy with my choice. Switching to this food has helped a lot with kitty litter odours, although it definitely doesn't eliminate it and it seems easier on my cat's stomach. They weren't prone to vomiting before so I can't say if it would help if you have a cat with a sensitive stomach, but they haven't vomited in the 2 years they've been eating this. These are pretty important aspects when it comes to cat food! Another plus is that every cat that has tried it has really enjoyed it. I haven't had a single picky eater turn their noses up at him! When my cats and I visit family, I usually have to take twice as much as I need because the other cats try to steal it.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Not everything fits
