Easily sew an entire skin out of Red Heart Supersaver thread. You must maintain constant, even tension as you wrap. Not suitable for lighter yarns without a smaller spool. I've wrapped about 100 skins in different yarns and I feel like the gears are breaking or the teeth are loose. This is a good product, be careful with it. The feed lever has locking problems, check regularly. I know other reviews say to pull it until it clicks, but it doesn't click until I break it. Oh and it's a total pain in the ass for a ski gun, only soft yarns, they don't catch the wind well because they're slippery. I also take my yarn with me when I travel to work on my projects and find uses for baggy yarns. To insert it you don't have to redirect the whole ball because it will get caught.
