It does work on hot tubs though.
. Most of the bottle is required for cleaning. It's actually not designed for hot tubs, it's designed for hot tubs. I used half a bottle in my 300 gallon tub and it got rid of some nasty crap. The gel works better, but it's ridiculously overpriced.
