Bright idea for lighting and ceiling fans

This was my second purchase of these lights. My first one at Rural King's retail store which was priced similar to this $29 online price. and change. Very helpful and both in the two packages worked well. I ordered this package and was satisfied. Until one of the two started switching on and off constantly. I've changed the battery a few times and toggled the 3-position switch a few times, but the little I could do as a consumer didn't change or fix the problem. I called Ball & Howell but was referred to another company that appears to be operating under the famous Bell & Howell name but is independent. I emailed them asking for help but that was a few days ago and still no response. This is a bad sign that this order is 50% failed. Hopefully I'll get an answer, but in today's business culture I might be disappointed - AGAIN. Working as advertised, this is a beautiful and really safe addition to stairwells and random spaces. I like the ones that work, but giving up shouldn't be an option. Improved quality control is good for business. If you're buying these, just be aware that they say 'stainless steel', but they're plastic cases. The decorative IS front panel is made of metal and is durable. The devices are worth buying, but be aware that 3M double-sided tape will fail over time. Use screws to attach the lights. One of mine fell 7 feet and fell apart BUT it still works after reassembling. CONSISTENT!
