A month after the returns window closed, Clip Jam just stopped working. He worked one night, the next morning. Nothing. It won't turn on, it won't charge (and I've tried multiple charging cables, adapters, and outlets) and it's expired, so I paid $30 for two months of using a mediocre device that: has refused to connect to my computer unless I plug both into a USB port *when* the back button is pressed; can play music from SD card OR internal storage but will not merge them; does not reliably remember where the audio book ended; does not have a dedicated power button; doesn't have a play all option in all folders, only in *some* folders; does not easily switch between artists and/or albums, but often forces the user to start over from the main menu; and most importantly, it doesn't last as long as previous Sandisk MP3 players. When my Clip+ finally died after a good few years of regular use, I considered many options for a replacement. I've read many, many other reviews talking about all of the above issues and more, but I've had such good experiences with the e200, c200, Clip and the very bored Clip+ (and no other MP3 player that the I know across , didn't seem to play any audio files, which is about 1/3 of what I used my Clip+ for) which is why I chose Clip Jam anyway. What mistake. For all other manufacturers, if you can make an MP3 player that: supports Audible and popular music file types; has built-in and expandable storage that work together seamlessly; remembers the last played piece of the audio book and allows the user to set their own bookmarks; Small, light and can be attached to clothes; Has decent battery life; Controlled by physical buttons that can be used to pause, resume, adjust volume, and power on/off *without* having to look at the screen (*necessary* when driving or exercising!); and lasts longer than a tube of toothpaste. If you can do what Sandisk did a few years ago, after all the bad reviews, you'll have an established customer base just *waiting* to give you our money.
