Excellent strainer! I've been looking for one like this over the sink and haven't had any luck so far! It's a durable plastic with durable silicone sidewalls that can be folded. There are many small holes at the bottom of the colander for draining. Small enough that noodles and co. don't slip, but big enough so that water can drain off easily. But the sidewalls are solid silicone. There is no drain on the sides, but I haven't found a problem with that. There are extensions on each side of the strainer so it can be used in different sized sinks. It adapts to your sink. I am very happy with this sieve.
