This is one of the best shrub fertilizers I've found (recommended by a local organic gardening expert) and we've been using it for at least five years now. Our home is surrounded by ornamental shrubs, making it look beautiful, healthy and green. The older your shrub gets, the more it will need that extra help. I mix 1 tablespoon of this dry powder with water in a 2-1/2 gallon bucket and then pour it (slowly) over the top of the bush and to the base of the plants. About 15 minutes later I come back with a hose and water thoroughly and carefully (slightly rinsing the leaves of the plants). Just to give you an idea of the quantity, just one of our hedges has about 10 plants, all about 4 feet tall, planted in a bed about 25 feet long. I use about 8 full buckets for this area. The result is healthy, vigorous growth. It is also great for crape myrtle trees to provide lots of beautiful flowers. yes it is expensive But it's worth it; Think of it as an investment - good vitamins for your shrubs, grasses and trees! PS I forgot to mention that about 24 hours after application your garden will smell slightly like a bay at low tide. But your plants will love you for 6-8 weeks :) Have a question?
