Review on 🌿 Environmentally-Friendly Toilet Ring Remover Pads: Ideal for Porcelain Toilets, Ceramic Tiles, Sinks, and More! by Travis Bozman

Consider making your own version with thin drywall finish screens + bartender's friend = much more cost effective.

I live in Hawaii where there is a major problem with plumbing painting. In most places here, the water contains significant amounts of minerals, and the ubiquitous volcanic dust contains iron, making it immune to traditional stain removal methods. Especially toilets (above the waterline) and anywhere water lingers and evaporates. A housekeeper friend of mine who works in a 5 star hotel cleaned for me and the dirty toilet I was trying to replace turned completely white and clean. Also no traces of scratches / etching of porcelain. (I've had wayward housewives who used pumice stone on china and completely ruined it with one cleaning). She bought a similar product from a well-established retailer to use with the Bartender's Friend. However, I have found that the abrasive screen material is almost identical to the drywall screen materials available at Home Depot. In fact, I think the very best drywall screen for glazed surfaces is less abrasive. Just buy a pack of the best drywall and cut them into smaller rectangles. The key is to use powdered Bar Keeper's Friend when removing stains. Leave on for a few minutes. Bar Keeper's Friend is significantly less abrasive than other cleaners AND CONTAINS ACID to dissolve mineral deposits. Less is more when cleaning polished porcelain. You should rub as little as possible to remove the stain and use the maximum amount of pressure you need to get the job done. So far I don't see any scratches on the porcelain. They are probably very small scratches that are not visible. But at least this delays the inevitable replacement of porcelain lamps. Yes, they work great. But you can get the same result with fewer porcelain scratches and at a much lower cost by using FINE drywall screens with Keeper's Friend's POWDERED Bar.
