I load HD content onto my Lenovo quite often 710s laptop but wanted to view some of the content on my 46 inch Philips plasma display, not the 12 inch screen that is connected to my laptop. There are many ways to do this, including Chromecast, built-in streaming apps, or an external Android device. The easiest way is to just connect the HDMI port between them and select the AUX display port. Lenovo doesn't have a full-size HDMI port, instead it has a micro-HDMI port. However, the TV only supports a normal HDMI connection. So this cable turned out to be just what I needed to get the job done. No fiddling with software. Without compromising video quality with highly compressed streaming technology like Chromecast. No network buffering. Just plug in and get started. Literally. Good quality cables and connectors. The gold plating on the connectors is largely meaningless as it only covers the screen and is thus purely decorative. However, this didn't seem to add to the cost, so I can't complain. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase.
