I absolutely AMAZINGLY LOVE THIS HAND. I bought this as soon as I knew we were going to be working from home for a while to finally update my home setup. After I bought it I mentioned it to a friend and she said "YES! I've only had it for a few months but my boyfriend has had it for years and it's still working. I have a huge Cintiq - 24HD Touch. I was warned that if the weight of the screen to be supported is too close to the weight limit it probably won't work properly and this was literally the only hand I could find that was designed to support my monster! Not only does it hold my Cintiq's weight perfectly, the movement is smooth and effortless, just a very slight wobble and I can lean on it fairly firmly and it doesn't fall over. Sometimes getting the wrench in the right place to adjust the tension is a little tricky, and each person will prefer something different, but once you get the hang of it, it's not difficult. The installation itself was easy and the instructions are clear. The only difficulty was getting my Cintiq onto my arm immediately after assembly because this stupid thing is bloody heavy, it would have been nice to have a second pair of hands. but it's not the fault of the hand! Ergotron is a standard in the entertainment/arts industry for a reason. I'm an artist so aesthetics are important and it has to work all day, every day. I CANNOT be happier. I'm a very tactile and picky person, I received the polished aluminum and I have to say it's really nice. It doesn't have that "ergonomic tech" look that many other "ergonomic" products have, which I find quite garish and futuristic. Although this is the case. It's a nice and solid piece of engineering and it does its job perfectly. THANK YOU, ERGOTRON. My desk is 30 inches deep and goes way over the edge at the back, but I installed it on one side and it works great there too. It's such a massive improvement over the piece of crap the last couple of Cintiqs came with (the one that only has two positions to choose from, is hard to adjust and weighs a damn ton), it's just day and night. I've rarely been so happy with a purchase. that I feel compelled to reconsider, but this one, dear God, was totally worth it. I improved my workspace by 1000% and am happy every time I see it and grateful every time I use it! What an impressive device!
