Apparently slacklining has been around for a while, I just never knew about it. The first time I put it on (without having seen the video of the 1st) I put it too far apart and it was impossible to get up/stay. I then set it up with a much shorter spread, about 10 feet, and the ratchet is about 1/3 of the way into the wood, which isn't optimal; However, I was able to make it much tighter, and we can walk a very short distance where it is installed. I definitely did NOT need a 50ft leash and want to make sure you have less room to set it up. before you buy it. It would be more fun if we had 15-20ft of space to set it up. and I don't want to dig 4 feet. Hole and bury the line in my backyard with anchors to hold it there and it would be a lot of work to do this on the beach in a short time. but we will play with it more. I also didn't realize I needed tree protectors to protect the line and tree, but I was able to find some old linen to take care of.
