This frame number (same as Brother SA443) fits my machine. So that's not the problem. The metal on the side mounting holes is too thick and the alignment of the holes is so misaligned that I can't lower the hoop far enough for the pawl on the embroidery machine to engage. That way, as long as the holes line up, if they don't go down that far, I could get the latch to release the top of the hoop and snap into place. Now, no matter how hard I press, I can't get the tire down far enough for the latch to come out of the top of the tire. I can't push any further as the embroidery machine's plastic arm flexes under pressure and I don't want it to break. I can only see this if I file the top of the tire where the latch meets so I have an extra millimeter of clearance at that point. This assumes that the latch goes through the thickness of the metal at the location of the latch. I can't be sure of this until I get a latch to release the top of the tire. If the metal on the side wasn't so thick, that might help a little too. The thickness barely covers the extended flange of the locking pins, but not so much that the shackle slides down easily. I compared it to the tire my car came with and the metal on the magnetic tire is about twice as thick. In addition, 4 magnets are not enough. So be ready to buy more for 15$ for another 4. They can replace other strong floor magnets but they are not as strong or are in the shape of a handle on top for a better grip or have a rubber underneath the magnet to protect the fabric. . I bought small pin magnets to fill in the gaps as well as some magnetic name tag backs and another set of embroidery magnets that come with this hoop. I can cheat and take a cheap tire's metal connector and attach it to this tire. . This messes up the centering, but I can create a new tire grid to compensate. However, this requires more money. Sawing the upper part will not incur additional costs, but it will take a lot of time. Overall I expect the tire to actually fit better. I have 5 embroidery machines (single needle home and multi needle hand) so I'm not without experience.
