My 25 pound 12 year old Vesti has had eye problems from cataract surgery for several months. A medium-sized inflatable cone filled with recycled plastic bags (someone else's idea in these reviews) was the most effective at preventing her from paw rubbing her eyes and further damaging her cornea. She can still lay her face on the carpet and rub herself if she really wants to, so I watch her during the day and use a regular plastic cone at night. I never used the inflatable part as I figured plastic bags would hold their shape just as well and deflating would never be an issue.
