I have a 12 pound terrier and wanted something that would support her without suffocating her. She has a rather narrow neck and slips out of most collars. She's young and irritable, so I didn't want her to choke when pulled. It was a great opportunity to meet those needs. It's pretty strong, I washed it too! It doesn't bleed and the clasps hold up well. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it's still too loose on her neck and if she resists my pull she can still slip out. I had to change the angle to avoid this. But that's a small complaint for a great purchase! I also wrap it around my waist when I go for a run, it holds up great! I look forward to the day she sits happily on a leash.
