As others have said it doesn't retain its round shape when full but still has a cute casual vibe. The material doesn't scratch like many of these woven bags. The pompom pendant is very cute. I'm dark in color and it goes with everything. A cheap lining and zipper probably won't last forever, but if it takes a few vacations I'm fine with that. I've only used it as a regular bag and not a beach bag so I can't comment on how it holds up in the sand or when it's wet, but I can say mine hasn't suffered any damage yet.
