We bought this for its beauty but it really isn't good for a pepper mill. lasts very little. You grind and then use the included spoon to 'sprinkle' so we've switched to salt and so far it's great and really adds to the aesthetic of our very small kitchen. it is really beautiful. Note: They sent us the wrong color on our first order and we ordered another one to return the first. Came in the correct color and recreated the return I gave to my sister in Washington. She uses it mostly for decoration, but at least it ended up in a nice home and someone who appreciates it.
