Works like a charm for interiors
A lot of the bad reviews are because it is NOT user programmable. This is not an FOB issue. This is a GM setting for most post 2006 vehicles. You will need a Half Descent scanner, not a generic $60 OBDII scanner. It took 5 minutes to program on a 2009 Malibu. 4.5 minutes connected to the car and searched for a function in the menu. I used Maxidas DS708. It looks like an OEM and works the same. It feels just as flimsy and lacking in button feedback as the OEM. I can't say anything about durability.
