I have a new phone and wanted to protect it but it is thinner than other book style cases I have had in the past. They can get too thick, and then opening them and holding them on your face becomes uncomfortable. I was worried about not having a clasp, but this lid closes very well without one. That's good because they'll wear out with frequent opening and closing, but the lid will still see plenty of use. This lid will not have that problem.
