This was the first epoxy I have ever bought and I was very impressed with its ease of use. But then I didn't have a standard for other resins. I wasn't a fan of poorly made lids that never screwed down after the first use - I had to line the tops with plastic wrap and then unscrew the lid to get it on tight. I didn't have many air bubbles (Plus), easy mixing (Plus), long working time (Plus), and great finish (Plus). However, I still had problems with craters and the resin didn't seem to "fall" evenly around the edges. I figured it was just my inexperience. Or not really cleaning up the project at all. I wrote it off as user error. But on my second purchase, I decided to try a competitor's brand for comparison. And let's just say my problems were NOT user error. I have perfect waterfall edges and no craters or white spots. I believe this resin would be good for projects with borders or shapes. I don't think I would have any complaints using it this way. But if you work with open projects like tile or canvas. choose another. Processed. Wow. I should add that dr. Crafty Resin is truly customer service oriented! After being contacted about my review, who quite generously offered compensation for my review, I was less than 100% satisfied. I am very impressed! I still recommend this epoxy for closed mold projects and as I am thinking of trying my hand at some resin coasters this will probably be my brand of choice. Thanks for the great company!
