This allows me to change the oil on the top in about 15 minutes. On my Passat, the oil filter cartridge sits directly above the engine. Put a new one in while I suck the oil out of the dipstick with this thing. It takes as long to put 5 liters of oil in as it takes to suck it out of this thing. I don't have to jack the car up or crawl under it. I leave the used oil back in the empty oil bottles I just used and take it back for recycling. I'm of the age where I no longer enjoy crawling under cars and doing maintenance on my own. But it's so easy with this thing and with the help of where my filter cartridge is, I'd be a fool to pay someone $30 or more to do it for me.
