Review on Tier1 Replacement Culligan Showerhead Cartridge by Kristi Erickson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price and compatibility!

I have a Culligan shower head filter and I usually buy name brand filters. Decided to try the cheaper options. I don't have any tests to say how well they work against Culligan, but they didn't cause any problems. They fit snugly to the case with no issues and work just as well. The ones I received are not smooth as described but have edges. Added a photo to compare with the real Culligan filter. We don't typically have strong chlorine smells, other than when they "overtreat" the system from time to time, so I can't use that as a basis for effectiveness. Although I don't know their processing scheme, I have not noticed any chlorine odor and have only used one filter so far. By the time I get through the second filter I'm sure the water supply has eliminated the excess chlorine. If I don't feel anything by then, I'll say it's working. Will I use a generic brand for our drinking water? No, but I will try for our shower. The only thing I noticed was that there were no filtration claims on the box like other brands. No % filtered impurities. I checked the website (tier1water) and although there are several systems listed there I couldn't find these filters. I have no idea what the characteristics of these filters are, although the Revain description says they contain KDF and charcoal.
