Bought under a full face motorcycle helmet for winter use. The pad is very thin, like silk underwear, so it fits well under the helmet. It also has very few flatlock seams so it stays comfortable. Part of the gaiter is made of thick fleece, which provides excellent wind protection. It's just a little big for me, but I have a small head/neck so it's not surprising. The gaiters are long enough to tuck into a jacket collar without constricting or pinching as I move my head in traffic. Very happy with the purchase and what I received. I'm considering using them for skiing on very cold days, but the gaiters are too thick/warm for me to use for very sporty activities.
