This set does what it says on the tin and exceeded my expectations. Yes, you can get kits that include nail clippers and cases, but this doesn't claim to be one of them. For what it advertises (brush/comb/nasal aspirator/nail scissors) this is exactly what I was looking for. We have children's nail clippers at home. They gave them out along with drops of gasoline and some other items, so our large home had plenty of them. My husband prefers to use these but I love using nail scissors and these scissors are SHARP and good! I use them on our kids under 5 (and many times older) and they trim their nails with ease. The protective cover is an integral part and is easy to put on and take off. The finger holes are a bit small, but so are my hands, so they're perfect for me! As far as I know they are the most important in this set. The brush has stiffer bristles than some baby brushes, which I like. It's not "hard" but it actually MOVES HAIR. Something that many children's brushes seem to elude. Even my almost bald kids have some hair and I love it when they get brushed. This brush also has the perfect stiffness for use with Mustela Newborn Foaming Shampoo, 5.07 fl oz. , especially if your baby has swaying (although we always use it on our babies and it seems to prevent that!). You can also buy baby brushes, but using a small brush like this with your newborn shampoo is a great combination for prevention and treatment. accidentally touching the child's sensitive scalp. I like that they know how to do it and they still have small teeth on the comb. Even the ends are rounded, which I like, although I wanted to take advantage and understand the hole at the end. I've tried piercing it with my finger or thumb and it definitely doesn't fit my hand or any human hand. I finally concluded that this should be for families with little Yetis who need to tie a comb to the handle of a stroller or something in case of an emergency. lol I'm not sure what other purpose it serves, but I've been trying to figure it out. The pear syringe is just another one of those "essential" baby accessories that I've found you can't have too many. (There aren't as many as nail clippers in the free stuff with a shopping section, haha). I keep one next to our newborns in their car seats (a trick I was shown by ICU nurses on one of our preterm babies and have been doing ever since). I also keep one in my diaper bag, one on the changing table and one in the back of our Rock & Play Sleepers. This particular balloon syringe is fairly soft and easy to use, although I prefer the NoseFrida nasal aspirator like the NoseFrida The Snotsucker for non-emergency nasal aspiration. (And of these, I prefer the few fakes we have to the real NoseFrida.) But we can't ignore the effectiveness of the traditional vacuum cleaner in a crisis, so we always have it handy. This kit also keeps what it promises. Although I agree that MINT Green is a better description. Colours. I feel the photos do a good job of capturing true color, at least on my screen. This is the perfect gender neutral set that would make a great shower gift. One of my favorite shower gifts for my first baby (when Moses got the stone pills) was a baby bath full of baby care products and this type of kit would be the perfect part of that. But back then, baby baths weren't insanely expensive with all the stuff we have now. haha.
