I use it daily for both drinking and coffee brewing water. The water it emits is only 10-15ppm which is close enough for me to fully clean it. Since absolutely pure water is not ideal for either purpose, I recommend adding minerals, which I like to do with concentrated drops that I mix myself. I've also seen ready mixes being sold if that's too much of a problem for you. It's a bit of a hassle but worth knowing exactly what's in my water. It drains pretty quickly, and the bypass lever allows me to keep it plugged in at all times so I don't have to fiddle with plugging and unplugging. between filling pitchers with water and washing dishes. Just make sure you make a habit of always turning it to bypass when you're done so you don't accidentally run hot water through it. The case is also good as it allows me to store some of my water accessories like my mineral concentrates. and a measuring cup on top so that the (quite large) trace is not stolen by the filter. That's significantly more than I expected, but given the case, it doesn't matter. Definitely spring for a body upgrade if you're on the fence.
