I'm a college student and I use this blanket in my room and I've been using it for about 4 months. Simply put, it's functional, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's not very comfortable, it doesn't get very fluffy or fill up, and it doesn't really make my bed any better - it just works, which shouldn't feel exactly like a comforter should. I think it would be fine for a younger child but anyone over 15 should invest in a better blanket.
