Need better guidance on chip socket alignment.
2004 Mini Cooper key programmed successfully. There is a serious problem with the connector that connects to the chip on the Mini's immobilizer board. It had NO pin 1 label. Not easy to identify. I have been working with PCBs/ICs for over 30 years. It was uncomfortable. You don't want to mess up the program that resides on that chip. I only got it to work by reluctantly trying all 4 positions and holding the adapter firmly to the chip.
