I wanted to upgrade my crocs to have a better glide so I settled on these Dr. Scholls shoes decided. I've been using their insoles for decades and I think they know what they're doing. Having said that, I would advise those of you who are into pronation to take a look at the design of this shoe. If you look at the healing in the photos, you will see that the outer part of the shoe appears thicker, causing the foot to increase its inward gliding, ie pronation. One might think that dr. S. knows all about it. I've invested in heavy foot pads and tried using arch supports and a heavier pad to reduce pronation, but little has been resolved. The original liner/footboard was a big problem as it kept stretching when I took my shoes off or rolled under the balls of my feet which was one of the reasons I bought heavy pads. New Balance built the 990 series for runners over 200 pounds back in the early 80's. This then solved my pronation issues and I look forward to DR S offering a little more internal support for pronators. I threw away my worn out Crocs and love the look and fit of the Vapor, but I'm still unsure of the long-term effects on my knees and hips. I still have time to decide whether to return
