I love that this dog bed is the perfect size to fit my pup's kennel. It's also good that it's thicker than fleece kennel liners and most other kennel liners. However, I still wish it was thicker and more like a traditional dog bed. It's not even an inch thick and feels more like a blanket than a bed. I understand why having a thicker bed in the kennel is not a good idea as dogs can get their paws between the bed and the front edge of the bed. stable below. But I think this is a nursery design flaw that needs to be addressed. Or this can be solved by adding a panel to drape the front of the kennel. Many dogs like to sleep in their kennels. My last puppy loved them and felt safe during a thunderstorm. Older dogs should have more plush surfaces, especially if they have arthritis. My other dog with arthritis has an orthopedic bed and if she was as committed to her kennel as my last dog was, I would try to figure out how to make a special bed in her for him. I'm not happy with the price either. . It seems terribly expensive for two pieces of fabric with some polyfiber filling and a seam all the way around. I don't usually pay that much for dog beds.
