I read a previous review about the smell of this backpack. It is true. Smells like chemicals. I didn't like the material either. It was soft and looked very difficult to clean. There were also small yellow dots on the backpack that looked like spots. If they were shiny gold, maybe it wouldn't look so bad? i would spend your money They have other (brand name) backpacks that are made in the USA (hopefully no chemical smell), maybe $1 or $2 more.
