Review on CORSAIR Strafe RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - USB Passthrough - Ultra-Quiet Linear Cherry MX Red Switch - Dynamic RGB LED Backlit by Dawn Williams

It looks cute and scary on my desktop.

Nice solid keyboard. Reminds me of the early 80's when the original IBM PC came with a heavy keyboard that made a nice clicking noise and you could probably beat someone to death. I won't do any of that, but the ominous red glow makes my team think I might. Jokes aside, it's a good keyboard, especially for the price (I think I paid $60 for it, and even though it's refurbished, it works great). The USB cables are nice and thick, it has USB pass-through which I haven't used yet (but will probably add a wired mouse at some point). The assistant admin of our engineering department keeps telling me that she loves it and wants me to order her next keyboard for her. The downside is that I had to relearn how to type accurately. My old Logitech wireless keyboard was much more forgiving. Now I tend to make a few mistakes and typos, as well as "lean" on the keys and accidentally repeat a letter or two multiple times. That being said, it's not hard to be a little more diligent about where I put my fingers, and once I start it gets silly just typing at really high speeds. Great for those emails and work journals. Anyway, I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for an entry-level mechanical keyboard that isn't overly loud (it's loud enough, but not like the really high-end keyboards) but gets the job done. At some point I'll probably get one for my home.

Pros

Cons
