So far, so good. Works great with my custom battery.
I recently built my own battery using Li-ion batteries. When fully charged, the battery is 16V. Although I should have used LifePo4 batteries to get a reliable 12V battery, I decided to try one of those instead. Worked great for what I needed to do. It held a good 12V as the batteries discharged from 16V to the 11V threshold I set, and didn't get very hot either, although it only drew 12A from it. Although it's a little larger than I expected, it did its job well.
