I have a 10 year old Roomba 550. Sometimes it hasn't been used for months. I took it apart, cleaned the gearbox, upgraded to Aerovac and bought another Li compatible battery to replace the original NiMh battery. I decided to try again after buying a lithium battery. I keep getting error code 2. We have four cats so we have hair but even after cleaning and disassembling the roller it still only worked for about 2 minutes before it stopped. I bought this as a last resort before throwing the Roomba away. This completely fixed the problem. Roomba just ran for 1.5 hours, encountered a lot of things and gave no error code. I'm glad to have a working rumba again. Definitely worth a try if you're getting this error frequently.
