AWESOME Adapter - Travel Tip - GET THE HIGHEST AND GROUNDED NETWORK PROTECTION!

These have been the best adapters for my international business trips: I bought these 2 years ago for a business trip to the UK and just got back from Ireland yesterday (work trip - I work for a global company - - so I often go to the 'pond"). I will go to Barcelona in September. This is an amazing set. Actually I will order Ceptics 12Pk including South Africa just to have it in my luggage cupboard. NOTE: I also bought 1 of the little black ones to take to the office every day when I'm abroad - Ceptics UP- 5KP International Worldwide Travel Adapter Plug 5 Piece Set with Case Size: World Set W/Couch, Model: UP-5KP (Outdoor Tools & Accessories) I use it for my laptop (and I connect my work phone and personal phone to my laptop via USB and they charge from the laptop). Also, the black kit charges your device WITHOUT connecting the third pin! TRAVEL TIPS: (A)***** Here's a tip I found on Pinterest - buy a surge protector - connect the surge protector pins to your particular county adapter, then plug the attached adapter and surge protector into the wall >>>> THEN connect appropriate devices – laptop, camera, phone, tablet/iPad, iPod etc. This little tip worked well for me in all cases. my international business trips! In addition, you save money on buying adapters for different devices and reduce the risk of failure of your devices. ****! Make sure to connect the adapter and surge protector first, THEN connect your devices. in the network filter! ****! Finally, make sure you get the HIGHEST and MOST GROUNDED surge protector you can find - I got mine from Target for $19.99 (I'm sure there are some great ones at Revain - just happen to buy mine, while you are at Target). DO NOT buy a cheap surge protector. I'll try to upload an image/visual soon - don't hesitate to ask me any questions if you have any. now. OTHER TIP: (B) Oh, and make sure you take a photo of your passport and driver's license AND make a list of all credit cards - full card numbers, expiry dates and toll-free number (on the back of the card), medical cards (group number and number for traveling outside of the US) etc. and leave a copy in your hotel room (in the safe) - in case you lose it (or it's stolen - this has NEVER happened to me - better than safe than sorry) your bags/backpacks etc .This way you ALWAYS have a copy and all the information you need somewhere else BUT with yourself

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
