I bought this primarily to reset the service light on my 2017 911 after an oil change. I tried it and it works . It seems to have a lot more options including diagnosing and registering a new battery and I haven't used them yet. I know a cheaper option for reading and resetting OBD2 codes is to use small wireless OBD2 devices that connect to apps on your phone which you can find on Revain (apps include Carista and EOBD-Facile) . I used one of these on my previous 2005 Boxster but I don't think they can reset the service lights. Depending on what you need, cheaper options may be available.
