Review on πŸͺ’ Premium Stainless Steel Safety Razor and Shave Brush Stand with 4 Prongs by Vera Lewis

Functional storage product for 2 brushes, 2 razors

This may sound like a negative review but I honestly didn't mean it. I just think that anyone contemplating a purchase should know what they are getting. Firstly, I have not found any other product that fits 2x2 like this. I think any wet shaving lover (yes, that's legit) will agree that having 2 brushes and 2 razors handy is completely unreasonable. Many enthusiasts have collections of dozens of razors, so I think it's great to have more than one razor on hand. I wish there were more products to match this because: The quality and finish of this product. Fur. Not bad. It doesn't wobble and I don't feel like my stuff is falling out. But I have another 1x1 stand that I received as part of a "shaving kit" and the quality is head and shoulders above this one. I was frankly disappointed when I opened the box as you can't tell the difference in the photos. However, when I hold it in my hand I can really see the poor workmanship of this product. The embossing is sloppy, the center bar is thinner, and the base is smaller. I feel like I can bend the prongs easily if I want to. To do this with any other stand I would need pliers or I would have to step on it to bend the pong. Also, on my other stand, I can't unscrew the top screw that holds it together. I don't know if it's secured with some kind of threadlocker or if it's just screwed in from the factory, but I can't unscrew it by hand. On the contrary, it comes unassembled (for good reason - otherwise shipping would be a hassle) and I can't screw the top cover tight enough to keep it from dangling every few days. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, but it's a bit fitter and more finished and I have a feeling this issue could have been prevented. Overall it looks like they took a cheap regular razor stand and shipped it with an extra set of prongs to screw in. on the. It's not a set of four-sided pins at the top, just two regular pins (slightly different sizes - nice touch) that you place crosswise and screw on. If there was another product that would allow me to neatly store two razors and two brushes on my sink, I would almost certainly try it. But it's not there, so this one does the job for just three stars. If you're an enterprising young upstart with access to a stainless steel stamping machine, you could probably easily design and build a better product than this, and you'd completely capture the market for a few razor wet shaving enthusiasts. (I swear it's a thing!) They would sell literally dozens of these once they hit the market. I don't know if it justifies the cost of installing a stamping machine.
