When buying such a cable for connecting a laptop and a high-definition monitor, look for the icon next to your Thunderbolt (Type-c) port on your laptop. Read that this is a thunderbolt port! Otherwise, it may be a waste of money. Plus, the cable has a one-way flow: Thunderbolt to DisplayPort! Different pros: -Not flimsy - Sits tightly in both thunderbolt (type-c) and DisplayPort (DP) sockets -If you take it to work between a laptop and a G-sync monitor - it freely activates all the existing monitor functionality when connected via DP -2K 180 Hz keeps loose - No static, blinking, shaky or picture problems -I took from Ya. Market for 1k. For SUCH a price - a dream cable. Has cons: -It's more just a matter of some kind of completely no packaging - the cord was just in . The box. Yes, all contacts were in cones. But a soldered package or something would be more reliable for such a cable. Again, I do not consider this a disadvantage of a cable for 1K (! )
