These brushes come in very handy when I want to apply a very, very light coat of oil to something. I usually use them a few times between washes - I just tuck the "bristles" (soft cotton fibers) away as much as possible and keep one brush per ziplock bag in the fridge door. I use one for vegetable oil and one for pure EV olive oil.
