These shirties, as I call them, are essentially midriff t-shirts. Back in the junior high and high school days of my youth, these would have been succinctly considered girls types of shirts, but as a grownup guy, having had a few girlfriends who are in to fashion, I got a bit brave, over the years, in trying out feminine styles, on myself, as far as my outerwear choices go. Here and there, I’d found shirties laying around, on the sidewalk, for example, and I find them super cute. Sometimes I wear a lizard costume when I go out to feed the pigeons in downtown Los Angeles, and I make the lizard a transvestite, with a skirt and shirtie, or a tank top - something along those lines, so it’s more than just a lizard costume.
